Rolling Hills Hospital Provides Help to Teens

By J. Richard Navarre, MD

Teens who come to our hospital are in crisis for some reason—either they pose a safety risk to themselves or to someone else, or they have not been able to be helped in the outpatient setting and need more intensive care.

Rolling Hills Hospital offers psychiatric care to teens aged 13 to 18 who are in need of inpatient care. After assessing their condition and evaluating their psychiatric and medical needs, the hospital can provide treatment through medical management and therapy. A number of specialists are available to teens in education, nutrition and activities. For issues like drug abuse, the hospital has relationships with treatment centers specializing in this area. Each child has individual treatment goals that are specific to his or her circumstances and is matched with physicians, therapists and nurses to address his or her issues.

Each child is different and comes to us with a unique past and current set of circumstances. We work hard to tailor our services to meet each child’s needs.

(Dr. Navarre is Clinical Director of Adolescent Services for Rolling Hills Hospital in Franklin, TN. If you or a family member are in crisis from any behavioral health issue, you may call 1-800-832-0388 for assistance.)
